One problem that continues to plague this industry (particularly in Newcastle), is that of the No-Show!
It goes something like this...
You've called around, got quotes and probably gone with what sounds like the best deal. The day comes
and your event is progressing great, your guests are expecting something spectacular and then, the time comes
and goes. You're left standing there, scratching your head, checking your watch and trying to get a hold of someone on a mobile
(because their business is run from a back room somewhere) or trying to organise something ridiculously
last minute.

have a landline and mobile numbers that you can call us on, as well as a Shopfront on Beaumont
Street, that you can come to! The other operators are lucky to have anything more than a Website and a
Mobile!

Did your exotic dancer fail to turn up?
Aint No Angels is regularly contacted via e-mail, phone or letter by people who's exotic dance entertainment has failed to turn up, even though they have pre-booked their event, often weeks in advance. Events like your bucks or hens night is an AUSSIE tradition, for which people put in a lot of time and effort and planning for their friends and loved ones.
If this has ever happened to you, YOU DO HAVE RECOURSE! You can contact the Department of Fair Trading (13 32 20 - http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ ) to see if the business you have been dealing with is indeed a registered business and to lodge a complaint (online or via phone) about that business.
Additionally, you can also lodge a complaint through the NSW Department of Commerce (PO Box 847 Darlinghust NSW 1300).
If you would like to confirm if the agent you wish to book through holds a current Entertainers Licence before booking you show, please call 02 9372 7205 and ask to speak to the Entertainers Licenceing Department.
Always ensure the booking agent is registered and holds an entertainers licence. Its the safest way to make sure the great AUSSIE tradition of hens and bucks night goes off as it should, as well as giving you the confidence the person you are dealing with is accessible and contactable. Additionally, it is recommended to check the commercial address attached to the business you are making the booking through and ask for references from previous shows, to further minimize the risk of a 'no show' at your function.
